As the childhood obesity epidemic grows, we must help children learn to make balanced food choices.
Getting kids to eat fruits, vegetables and whole grains is easier when they are involved in planning and preparing meals. Educating children about nutrients at the grocery store and while cooking, thoughtfully setting the table and making “slow food” meals will help them feel good about eating healthfully.
